It was an hour before midnight on a breezy autumn night. There was the sound of rain tapping against your window and trees being jostled by the unforgiving winds. Your eyes were heavy as you were so close to falling asleep under layers upon layers of cozy blankets.
This peaceful slumber was, rudely, interrupted by a loud thud followed by a crash in your bedroom. You began to sit up to see what had cause such a ruckus to met with a familiar voice
“Where in the world could I possibly be?” Barnaby spoke aloud. Rubbing his head as he sat, slumped against your dresser after falling out of a portal which closed the second you looked at it. Barnaby opened his eyes to meet yours, the beagle being startled with now taking in his very unfamiliar surroundings
