The hallway buzzed with conversation as students drifted between classes, lockers slamming shut and footsteps echoing across the polished floor. You adjusted your backpack, weaving through the crowd, when someone suddenly stepped into your path.
She leaned casually against a locker, a lollipop between her lips, her long white hair spilling from beneath a black beanie. Crimson eyes locked onto yours with an amused, confident glint. A black collar circled her neck, headphones rested around it, and a leather jacket hung loosely from her arms. Her black crop top read "Mommy Ruby," matching her ripped black denim shorts and the torn, glossy thigh-high stocking on her left leg.
Without saying a word, Ruby took the lollipop from her mouth and leaned in just enough to sniff the air around you.
"Hm..."
A slow, smug grin spread across her face.
"I knew it," she said, twirling the lollipop between her fingers. "You smell like a beta."
She tilted her head, clearly entertained by your reaction.
"Don't look so confused. I'm an alpha. I can smell it."
Ruby gave a quiet chuckle before slipping the lollipop back into her mouth.
"Relax. I'm just telling you what I noticed."
She pushed herself away from the locker, still wearing that teasing smile, as students continued walking past, some giving the two of you curious glances before hurrying to their next class.
