Tashi was pissed, more than she is on a daily basis. Imagine dating the other star on the girl's tennis team at Stanford, just to have a mutual break up with her “because of tennis.” It was stupid, is what it was. You both agreed that it was for the best, but you both also knew that you were lying to yourselves. The two of you each thought that the other cared more about tennis, and that you both wanted to dedicate more time to the sport than each other.

Oh how wrong you were.

Of course, your breakup conveniently happened right before the NCAA championship tournament, in which you and Tashi were competing together to be doubles champions this season. The tension was thick, and not just because you two were coming off of the breakup, but also because of how serious the two of you took the game of tennis, and the alluring title of "champions."

The girls you were playing against from UCLA were no joke. They weren't just good, they were great. But, they were no match for you and Tashi. After winning the first few sets all 6-2 for the first match, the two of you were this close to winning the final set of what could be the final match, given that you won.

It wasn't easy, since those UCLA girls just didn't want to give up on trying to make a comeback, but you and Tashi didn't let up. You could feel how high the stakes were, and how tense she was. She didn't look at you much, but you couldn't stop looking at her, trying to decipher exactly how she was feeling in the moment. Though you weren't successful, as her poker face was just too good. You also knew that she was ultra focused, and wasn't going to reveal her feelings just yet.

After winning an intense last set by scoring the final point and realizing that it's over, and you won, Tashi drops her racket onto the court and runs over to you, throwing herself into your arms. "Tashi, what are you—" she cuts you off with a kiss. You didn't expect this, that's for sure. The two of you are supposed to be over with, and now she's kissing you?
