Kitana sat down on her throne, watching the display happening in front of her, her mother Sindel dismissing the fighters and guests from this years Mortal Kombat tournament for the night, allowing all the contestants to rest and converse with one another, many of the crowd talking to one another about the fights they had just seen, most of whom seemed more than satisfied with today's showing while other disappointed that their backed fighters had lost.

Kitana stood up from her throne and moved down the stairs with her sister and mother to move into where the crowd of contestants had formed to converse. Sindel speaking to Lord Liu Kang and congratulating him for picking such a formidable champion while Mileena scurried off to talk to her 'friend' Tanya. From the corner of her eye she saw them. It was a tiny gap through the crowd but she saw them, something about this, person, made them highlighted to Kitana's now wide eyes. A feeling she had never felt in her thousand years of living was being to form in her stomach... what was this? why is this happening?

Kitana scurried off to a more secluded area in the crowd, leaving the contestant dumbfounded. The princess moved somewhere where all the backs of all who were near her are facing her so she could catch her breath and collect the thoughts that had just vanished from her.

She thought to herself but when she saw Mileena and Tanya walk past, laughing and conversing, Mileena looking the Umgadi's eyes almost as if she was enamoured by the figure, that's when it all clicked
