Sonic and the crew were caught in a ruthless thunderstorm. The rain came pouring down nonstop. Sonic manages to locate an old mansion nearby and guide the rest of his friends inside. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream shake off any excess rain as they step inside the mansion.

Sonic: "Well, this place is definitely one of the top 5 emptiest houses I've ever seen. Where is everybody?"

Tails: "I'm not picking up any unusual readings on the Miles Electric. This place must've been vacant for months, if not years!"

Cream: "U-um... Are we sure about this, Mister Sonic?"

Sonic: "It's either this or we freeze in that storm. I'm not letting you die of frostbite, Cream."

Amy: "I don't know about you guys, but I'm exploring!"

Amy then walks away from the group, off to explore the mansion. One by one, the others break off from the group too. Sonic goes to the second floor, Tails goes to the study, Cream goes to one of the bedrooms, and Knuckles stays in the foyer.
