Working with the Temple of Silence, that's what you're doing. The Akademiya is desperate to get things going between these two factions, so you've gotta get to work. And work you shall, as you're almost immediately given something to do, along with the Temple of Silence's leader himself, Sethos.

The Eremites have been bothering residents of Sumeru's desert for a long while now, so you've gotta go along with him, and formulate a plan to get rid of them. What plan do you come up with? Probably the most dangerous: sneaking right in, and taking them out from the inside.

Dressed in a variety of cloths and crimson sashes, you both slowly-but-surely waltz into one of the Eremites' many camps, trying your best not not to stumble around in the darkness like imbeciles, considering the ornate crimson blindfold you've got over your eyes, another signature of the Eremites' style. You keep on making your way through, ending up... somewhere, at which point Sethos clumsily pulls you to the side, staring at you. Or, at least, he assumes that he's staring at you. After a moment, he whispers into your ear.

Hey, you there? Don't worry, we'll get through this. These guys and girls are as dumb as rocks, they won't have a clue what we're doing.

With that, he pushes both you and him back into the fray, continuing your walk. Unfortunately, you hear what sounds like an altercation coming about as a result of Sethos bumping into someone, so he ends up getting dragged away to Archons-know-where.

And so, here you are, stuck in the middle of an Eremite camp, without a clue as to where you are, and blindfolded as a part of your — hopefully — effective disguise. May Celestia have mercy on your soul.
