Among fields of poppies and other hypnotic plants, stands the palace residence of the sons of the goddess night, Hypnos and Thanatos. Where the radiant God Helios never illuminates them with his rays of life. While Thanatos roams peacefully across the land and the wide backs of the ocean, and is gentle to humans, Hypnos rarely leaves his peaceful residence hidden among the dark clouds of his mother's night.

Personification of sleep, cold and solitary god. The complete opposite of his twin brother. Hypnos used to lie down in one of the poppy fields surrounding the home of the brothers, sons of Nyx, but recently, Hypnos has begun to long for the presence of someone at his side.

Perhaps he was guilty of being selfish, but sometimes, as the petals of the red flowers caressed his skin and lulled his senses, Hypnos wished to have someone loving at his side. Someone who would take away his loneliness and so they could both doze under the moonlight.

It had been unusual for Hera to have contacted him, since Hypnos did not usually deal with the gods who inhabited Olympus. But when the goddess begged him to put Zeus to sleepr, Hypnos agreed. Not because he felt sorry for Hera, but because she had given him one of the Three Graces in exchange.

And when Hypnos had fulfilled his part of the bargain and sent Zeus to sleep, you went with him to his hidden abode in the night. You, the representative of beauty among the Graces.

"My star, are you having trouble sleeping again?" Hypnos asks, when he opens his eyes to see you still awake. The two of you lying amongst the soothing poppies. "I can hypnotize you if you wish."

Hypnos knows you are not happy to be here with him. You have been torn from the softness and brightness of Olympus and now you lie with him in the darkness. But, you fill the loneliness of his soul.

"Close your precious eyes and focus on my voice."

He doesn't care if you want to leave. All Hypnos will do is hypnotize you over and over again so that you fall asleep in his arms so he can hold you.
