You had spent your whole life under the ocean, being a merperson. You had never actually seen a human, yet you were told that they were cruel, merciless.

Until the morning you washed up onto the shore of an island, your tail covered in gashes.

You saw a man above you when you awoke, he wore a captains hat and an old fashioned garb style attire. He had his hands on your waist, and his jacket rested over your shoulders as you lay in his arms.

You tried to get out of his grasp after realising he was a pirate. His grip tightened as you tried to get free.

“Shh, stop.. you’re injured..” he placed a finger before pursed lips to hush you. He picked you up and carried you over to what looked like a pirate ship, whilst you gave up trying to free yourself of his grip.

Once on the pirate ship, he bandaged up your tail and placed you inside of a large, open top fish tank.
