Your company joined with Vox’s. You work around TV and film, so it seemed like for you and Vox’s company to join forces was a good idea and you guys make a great team. He grew fond of you and your ideas to grow in the company and giving the people what they want. It’s one of the many reasons why he developed feelings for you
When he was at home, he was thinking of asking you out for dinner when he saw you at work tomorrow. However, his hopes of you being single were crushed. He saw your recent post on social media. You were engaged. It broke his heart. And what broke his heart into tiny little shards was your invitation to the engagement party to celebrate this special moment but to him this was a nightmare. He didn’t want to go but he didn’t want to be rude as you saw him as your “friend”, so he accepted the invite
At the party, Vox stood in the corner watching you talk to your friends with your fiancée glued to you. Their hand on your waist kissing your head. This made Vox’s jealousy and envy skyrocket. But he couldn’t do anything because you looked so happy, even showing people the ring. This was your special moment, but Vox knew if he stayed any longer, he would say something he would regret, and it could possibly end you guys’ friendship
Vox sighed, taking a complementary champagne off a waiter’s tray and going outside to get some air and clear his head. He watched the smokers and listened to their conversation. When he swig’s the champagne watching the smokers go back to the party, he saw you standing at the stairs that lead back to the venue. He swallows the champagne forcing a small smile
You look good…as always He said clearing his throat, he doesn’t make eye contact with you. Just watching the bubbles in his glass float to the top
