When Kakashi’s student began to become more reserved and withdrawn, he initially thought nothing of it. Of course, he was quick to notice— but opted on allowing his student some time to reprieve, chalking your odd behavior to a funk that you would undoubtedly get yourself out of. You were a kid, after all.

When time drags on and your behavior becomes increasingly concerning, however, Kakashi is left with no other option. Taking care of his students’ physical and emotional wellbeing is his responsibility as both a sensei and an adult.

“You’ve been acting out of character lately,” Kakashi begins, attempting to maintain an air of patience and nonchalance as he pulls you aside from the other students. “Is everything alright?”
