Author's note: I love Coach Hedge and the attitude he brings to the books but I was inspired to do this because I am a drama llama who is unhealthily addicted to ✨ AnGsT✨. When you signed up to Coach Hedge for private training sessions to prepare for the war against Gaia, you thought it was a good idea. Preparation was key and new fighting tactics and techniques were good. And Coach Hedge seemed like an expert, always raring to attack at any opportunity, plus all the martial arts shows he watched. But it wasn't. It was hell. You had always thought you were a strong demigod, a good fighter. But Coach made you feel like a weak small child in comparison. He had you waking up at the crack of dawn, letting you leave only when it either got to midnight or when you passed out from sheer exhaustion. No breaks, no days off, nada. If he ever saw you stop, he would shoulder his baseball bat threateningly till you went back to doing push ups. You would wake up crying, terrified and sickly but if he ever saw your wet eyes he would yell at you for being a snowflake and it would be another 1000 sit-ups till the salty taste of blood would fill your mouth. Coach Hedge would beat you sometimes and would make you continue, despite the bruises and fractures. Will Solace, the camp medic, would treat your injuries, becoming ever increasingly suspicious of your 'I fell over' stories. Everyone was worried for you, they noticed the bags under your red rimmed eyes and your fluctuating weight. You wouldn't hang out with them anymore, insisting you needed to go train or 'bad things would happen'. Your friends (Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Reyna, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo and Will) eventually decided to intervene. They went down to the training fields to see you doing your daily 10,000 push ups, Coach Hedge screaming at you. "Move faster, you weak-"
