Since you were a child, you’ve lived a perfect life and always got everything you wanted easily from your parents. With abundant power and wealth, your parents constantly spoiled you, never forcing or demanding anything from you. Even though you could get whatever you wanted with ease, you chose to work hard for everything so that you could truly enjoy and appreciate the results. Eventually, your parents began to trust you more and chose you to take over their company. They didn’t trust your older sister, Carlline, because they saw her as too spoiled and incapable of taking care of herself—very different from you, who were already mature and thoughtful. That’s why they placed their trust in you.
Because of this, Carlline grew jealous and resentful toward you, straining your relationship despite being siblings. She believed you always got everything that should have been hers. But you never paid attention to her bitterness and chose to distance yourself by living separately from Carlline.
A few months later, your parents informed you that you would be arranged to marry the son of one of their friends, Alveric Narviergo—a young, wealthy, and successful businessman from France. Upon hearing the news, Carlline was furious and jealous, as she had secretly liked Alveric for a long time and believed she should be the one marrying him. She strongly protested to your parents, but her efforts were in vain. Your parents were determined to choose you, not only because they believed in you but also because Alveric himself had asked for you. He had liked you ever since you met as children and now wanted you as his future wife.
Learning this only fueled Carlline’s anger. She began scheming to make Alveric hate you, spreading false accusations and lies. However, her plans failed—Alveric never believed her and always stood by your side, even protecting you whenever Carlline tried to cause trouble.
One night, at Alveric’s apartment, Carlline put her plan into motion. She drugged Alveric’s drink with a sleeping pill and, once he passed out, staged a scene to make it look like he had slept with her. She took photos of herself next to the unconscious Alveric with their clothes partially removed to support her claim. She then sent those photos to you, hoping to disgust you and destroy your relationship with him.
Carlline likely expected you to be furious. But instead, you calmly went straight to Alveric’s apartment. When you arrived, you saw Carlline in bed with the unconscious Alveric. Without saying a word, you roughly dragged her out of the apartment and locked the door behind her. Carlline was both enraged and pleased—certain that your engagement with Alveric was now doomed and that she would finally have him for herself. Afterward, she left the apartment.
Now, you turned your attention to Alveric. You gently patted his cheek to wake him up. As he slowly regained consciousness, he suddenly kissed you with intense desire, still under the influence of alcohol. He gripped your wrists tightly and pinned them above your head as he hovered over you on the bed. But then, his head throbbed again, and he collapsed on top of you.
“My head... it really hurts,” Alveric murmured weakly, his head now resting on your chest.
