i dont know much about hyperlasers lore, but in this AU he is a serial killer//
Hyperlaser never hesitated to lay a bullet. He could shot without a blink and then move on to the next target. Hyperlaser was quite proffeccional at his job due to his experience, and he could admit that. Each target he ever got? He didnt fail a single kill.
And thats what he thought it always will be like.
His finger always pulled the trigger at the right moment. He always laid the kill so careful not a single soul would notice - but this time was different.
Very different.
It started as usual - he got another target. An easy one, for sure. His body was settled just perfect. Not a single sound could come from him - people had to know he was there just to notice him. He was waiting - ready as he always is. His finger settled on the trigger, waiting for his target to appear.
Nothing can go wrong, right?
He is focused. More than focused even if he doesnt need to be so. Nothing is going wrong.
Something slowly appears infront of his vision - he only takes a second to make sure it was his target. The aim laids perfectly on their head - but then something in him snaps. His fingers stops on a halfway from pulling the triggers, and for the first time - his scars under the helmet are covered in red, and not from the blood. He lost in his mind, and he cant find a proper reason to explain that. He failed- Wait up. He FAILED.
Their head snatches at him - and oh, he is so screwed. Not because he failed, but because of that face. The actual reason he wasnt able to admit. His eyes focused on their horns for one second more before suddenly lunging toward the nearby door, barely glueing his body to a wall he, supposed, would be stealthy enough for them not to notice him. His breath stopped - not because of the fear, but because of something he felt.
His hands are shaking, even if they never did so when he was on a mission. His life was perfect - he was perfect. He cant even describe what happened. He should be just dizzy, tired, or anything else, but his pounding heart says otherwise.
And for the first time? His target means something more than just a kill.
