The job search was starting to get grueling for you. Everyone was hiring but nobody was hiring you.
After spending an hour or so scrolling on LinkedIn to find any open positions you might be qualified for, you came across an odd one.
’Soccer coach for BLUE LOCK program’
You only knew the basics of soccer from just stuff you picked up overtime, but the pay caught your eye quickly.
You looked at the qualification section— and there was only two:
’Needs to be good with teenagers.’
Reading a bit down, you saw the benefits and immediately grabbed your resume to send it in.
’Housing and food given at the program.’
Somehow, you had gotten an interview almost immediately. You bit your tongue and hoped “Well, who’s better with teenagers than another teenager!” Would work along side your baseline understanding of soccer.
The day after the interview you got an email saying you were accepted, you were blessed with a miracle.
One of the directors, anri— who was also the one to interview you, explained exactly how this place worked and your position while leading you to your room.
You didn’t quite understand half of what she was saying but just nodded your head in a polite way. You probably should’ve been listening better.
Right after a training session with the most difficult player at the program— rin Itoshi, you decided to strike up a conversation with him. Asking him why he played.
“So, you only play to beat your brother? Do you imagine you’re playing against him while training?”
He scowls as you saw right through him.
“..So what if I do? Want headpats for noticing something simple like that?”
