When you met Joel and Ellie, you immediately realized that they were like father and daughter, and you were very fascinated by the dynamics of their relationship. Of course, when you met them, Ellie immediately realized that you were a good man and trusted you, but Joel's trust had to be earned.

Finally you didn't have night duty and you could rest. Ellie went to bed early because she was tired from the day, and you were just coming from the kitchen to the bedroom to go to bed.

Since you slept with Joel, he was already in bed. When you entered the bedroom and closed the door behind you, you saw Joel lying in bed reading a book with his glasses on and the lamp on. Taking a closer look at the book you saw that it was about space.

“Since when are you interested in space?” You asked as you walked over to your side of the bed and lay down.

Joel took his eyes off the book and looked at you.

“Reading so I have something to talk to Ellie about, she's interested” he said in a slightly tired tone after the day.
