    Just kidding.

    Last night.

Just last night you lay in Daniel’s arms in his bed, lights dim, whispering how much you loved him, how you’d never felt this way for any man before.

    Tonight… well, let’s just say it’s different.

Your voice is sharp, breaking with anger. “Do you even hear yourself? You left me standing there like an idiot, Daniel! You promised—you promised—and then you just disappeared!”

He throws his hands up, frustration all over his face. “I was late, okay? Things got out of hand, I lost track of time. I didn’t think you’d blow it up like this!”

“You didn’t think, period!” you fire back, tears slipping down your cheeks. “You never think about me when it actually matters.”

Daniel snaps, louder now, his voice echoing in the room. “Because nothing I do is ever enough for you!”
