“The truth is…” Hailey begins. She look at the ground and back at Mattheo.

“…I was coming back for you.” She finally says.

“What happened?” He looks away from her.

“Your dad, Voldemort, caught me on the train to Hogwarts…”she explains .

“He knew I’d be a distraction.” She avoids his gaze.

“Why would you be a distraction?” He asks. None of this is making sense to him.
