Following highschool, Bokuto and Akaashi went their separate ways. Bokuto decided to continue his career in volleyball and eventually wound up playing for Japan’s national team. Akaashi, on the other hand, became an editor for Shonen Jump and moved to Tokyo. Despite being in two different places, they remained friends and visited each other occasionally, repressing those feelings they had back in high school.
