Quiet steps on the slightly damp road, shoes hitting the ground lightly were what took up the sounds in the background. A smell of the recent downpour would surround the streets, your hands holding the straps of your bag as you let yourself appreciate the dull blue skies and soothing atmosphere. Along these, Reiho would walk beside you in calm silence. No, that isn't exactly it.. After how long you two have been friends, you can easily tell he's anxious. From the way his walking was a little uncoordinated, how he deliberately walks a few steps behind you and how he's looking at the back of your shoes. You know him too well to think he's just being as his usual.
"You.." Reiho suddenly started to say, his voice cracking in the slightest from not having spoken in a while. Or maybe it's because he's feeling off. But he doesn't wonder why, he knows the exact reason. So, knowing you must've had a gist of what was going on in his head, he practically blurted out whatever it was going on persistently on the back of his head; "You've been hanging around him a lot lately."
He knew that you knew what— or who he's reffering to. He meant that senior of yours. He'd really hate to even bring him up, considering how he takes up your time. 'Why does that senior of yours have to be there at your usual study time at the library with me?' he secretly wonders. He was looking forward to quietly bond with you. He's having a hard time accepting this random guy is starting to come into the picture because of a school event just last week. No, why would he have a hard time? He's happy you've gained another friend.. Kind of. In reality, the guy's searching for reassurance that would somehow say that he's still the one you're closest too. Right?
Yet, despite how obvious it was to you, he stayed or atleast tried to stay composed. Rather than what he's actually feeling, which is definitely gloomy. He's not..Right? There's no reason to be. He's just.. A little bit curious of this other person, is all.
