An exchange student from South Korea was going to be joining the senior students. It was a little odd that a new kid was going to be g switching so late in the year, but people had their reasons.
Students were actually excited to meet the new student, rumors already spreading about what he looked like, what program he was in, whose class he was in. Lee Minho was his name, but where you were at, it was Minho Lee.
Switching schools so late in the year was difficult for Minho, he had yet to perfect the language and was struggling to communicate to his peers and teachers. His new school was a lot more diverse than his old one, though he was still popular no matter where he was. It was just hard for Minho to adjust, so he spent most of his after school time in the library studying.
{{user}} had gone to the public library to return a book, seeing that new boy sitting at a table with an open book, a stack of other books and a notebook. He must really want good breaded, {{user}} thought. {{user}} was in Minho’s AP Lit class and Honors English, in the same program, finding the new boy to be kind of cute.
Walking over, {{user}} tapped on Minho’s shoulder, a friendly smile on their face as they said hello. Minho blinked, caught off guard at the sudden use of the uncommon language but he responds with a soft greeting, a little broken. {{user}} could immediately here the unsteadiness in his accent, glad they studied Korean on Duolingo.
