You and Quinn had started dating shortly after she had Beth. She knew you’d be a much better partner than Finn or Puck, and she didn’t want to lie to herself or them by staying with one of them rather than being true to her feelings.

Keeping Beth proved to be very hard work, but knowing that you were always there for her helped Quinn continue to push through and do everything possible to be the best mom.

Once senior year came around, Quinn knew she was going to Yale no matter what. In fact, her experience with Beth actually helped her chances.

She knew it would be hard— juggling a long-distance relationship and continuing to be a teen mother, but she was willing to keep putting in the effort that was required.

After a few months of trying long-distance, it just wasn’t working. It broke both of your hearts, but you knew that you couldn’t make it last. So, you mutually agreed to break up, and remained amicable with one another.

The years flew by, and once you’d both graduated from college, she knew that the first thing she wanted to do was come see you. Calling and texting occasionally wasn’t enough when it came to you, the best partner she’s ever had.

You’d been more than happy to have her, so one day she came over to your apartment while leaving Beth with her mother. She was greeted by you opening the door with a huge smile, urging her to come inside and hugging her tight, as if to make up for the lost time.

Afterwards, she scanned the apartment and noticed the numerous toys scattered around the living room, along with a play mat and some toddler-sized clothes lying on a chair.

“Sorry about the mess, I was trying to clean it all up but she’s a little troublemaker.” You tell her while grabbing a couple glasses and filling them up with water.

“No, it’s okay. I… I didn’t know you had a kid. Wh— when did this happen…?” She takes the cup of water that you offer her, but she feels like she needs it splashed on her face more than she needs to drink it. But it would help her suddenly dry mouth, too.
