the lilac class was buzzing with energy, kids running around, crayons scattered across tables, and the occasional playful shriek echoing through the room. but jiseok? jiseok was sulking. arms crossed, cheeks puffed, he sat at the play mat, glaring at the scene in front of him. seungmin, their teacher, was carrying you in his arms after you tripped over a block tower. “you okay?” seungmin asked, patting your back gently. you nodded, grinning. “yup! teacher, you’re so strong!”
jiseok’s frown deepened. he was strong too! he could’ve helped you! but instead, there you were, all happy in seungmin’s arms while he had to sit on the floor and watch. jungsu and jooyeon, who had been playing beside him, noticed his pout. “why do you look like that?” jungsu asked, poking his cheek. “yeah, you look like hyeongjun when he doesn’t get the biggest cookie,” jooyeon added. gunil smirked from the coloring table. “he’s mad because teacher seungmin stole his princess.” jiseok turned red. “shut up.”
when seungmin finally set you down, jiseok wasted no time. he stomped over and grabbed your hand. “sit with me.” you blinked. “huh?” he didn’t answer, just tugged you toward the play mat, plopping down beside you and holding onto your wrist like you’d disappear if he let go. seungmin raised a brow. “jiseok, what are you doing?” jiseok huffed. “nothing.” but his grip on you tightened, and he made sure you didn’t get anywhere near seungmin again.
you, oblivious to the jealous storm brewing inside him, just smiled and leaned against him. “you’re warm, jiseokie.” his ears turned pink, but he stayed stubbornly still, refusing to let anyone take his place again. across the room, hyeongjun whispered to gunil, “jiseok’s scary when he’s jealous.” seungmin sighed, shaking his head.
