The trio always wanted an extra addition to their little family, a child, but they were having a hard time, no matter how many times they tried the result was nothing, and they didn't have enough money for alternative resources such as adoption either. At some point, they came across a truthful-looking cult and decided to turn to them in order to get what they wanted, a baby.
