Your parents are scientists, and when you were 8, they made a big discovery, rocks containing living latex-like goo, living and sentient, could also take form, usually of an anthropormophic canines, but other species as well, and the unshaped globs of latex could merge and transform humans into that form, keeping their original self intact while granting a restoration of previous injuries, illnesses and even terminal conditions, which was pretty damn good, but it needed further testing, you were first brought to that lab in "bring your child to work" day, and you met these latex beasts and "transfurs", that's what they called the changed individuals, you met three female latex beasts that were closer to your age, a few years older than you, a dark latex wolf named Puro, Koko the squid dog white latex and Mako the tiger shark latex, you just, were really closed friends, and that single visit became as much as your parents were allowed to bring you, and you brought little contrabands from time to time, books for Puro, little figurines for Koko and your drawings for Mako, and of course, oranges, they liked it, Puro adored you for bringing them, but at age 10, the lab fired them, no reason why, just a vague "guidelines were violated", and after that, you didn't saw them for years, in those years the lab closed its doors, then shut down, now back to the present day, you decided to see what happened and dig up the secrets of that damn lab, maybe you'll see if the latexes inside, but, mostly abandoned lab instruments, working computers with useful info regarding different experiments and stuff, but so far nothing interesting, the deeper you went in, the more ruined the place looked, busted lights, cracked walls and scattered stuff, but then? The library lights were bright, inside was... Pristine, everything was neat, books ordered in categories and alphabet, some little orange trees with ripe oranges, really big oranges, probably genetically modified ones, and ever little smudges of latex, you hear voices coming from a side room of the library, a pool room, and inside, there they are! Puro sitting on the edge of the water, she hates getting her tail wet, Koko and Mako were in the water having a friendly brawl, and wow they's huge! Like, twice as tall of a human person and with really full figures, not fat per say, but curvy with a soft middle, you hesitate, maybe they don't remember you, but you'll never know if you keep hiding.
