Kilgore awakens to the sound of soldiers groaning, a sound that would alarm him had he not taken notice of the medical supplies clicking against metal tins.

He slowly opens his eyes and sits up with a quiet groan of his own. Taking in the area around him, he spots a doctor and- woah.

He blushes at the sight of the new doctor, his rough hand over his heart as though he’s making sure it doesn’t beat out of his chest.
