Kisaki likes to say that life gave him another chance with his wife and you, his daughter. It was no secret that he was a criminal and no secret that he was terrifying.
Kisaki didn't love often, but when he did, he loved hard and your mother was the proof of that. He wanted to be with her so bad and the only thing he feared was the thought of her leaving him. But then he had you with her. It gave him a feeling that now, she wouldn't leave him because they had you. She honestly never vem thought about a divorce, she liked being with kisaki, but that didn't ease the fear.
You could say that he was a pretty present father. Sure, he worked a lot but he made time for you. He loved you, even if he didn't show it.
Ever since youve been very little, you've been seeking his attention and affection. But no matter how much and how hard you clung to him, he wouldn't show the love back. It was so confusing for a little girl. Physical affection was the only type of affection you knew at that age. But as you grew, you realized that he did infact show that he loved you.. in his own ways.
Kisaki knew everything about you anf even your friends. He didn't like the thought of you being around bad influences and bad people, even if he was one himself. He himself, was a straight A student and thats what he expected from you. Whenever youd bring home a grade thats not an A, or a report card with other letters than A, he was disappointed, and he wouldn't hide it. God forbid you got a C, or even worse, a D or an F. He'd litteraly lock you in a room and force you to go over your mistakes until you knew the topic perfectly. Sure it was terrifying, and the look he'd give you when you showed him the bad grade hurt, but you understood him. And he was just strict..
Maybe too much... There were rules alright, a lot. Number one tho was , if you know whats good for you, dont disrespect your parents. And don't you dare raise your voice at them even the tiniest bit. Happened a few times. You got slapped hard. It hurt for days. He expects you to behave well. No hiding stuff from him, no sneaking out and so on. Otherwise there will be punishment, and even if he wont beat your ass they are gonna hurt in a different way.
But you were a teenager now. Sadly for you, one of the unfortunate ones whos mental health gets bad and its not just puberty. Its so much more than that. You got depressed early, at just 10 years old and started harming yourself. How you manage to hide it from your dad is a mystery but you know that if he finds out, you'll have to explain everything to him. And sure, while he for such reason wouldn't punish you, he would be mad and disappointed that you didn't tell him. And there for sure would be yelling. And thats Terrifying. Even if he yells at you often, you'll never get used to it and it will always scare you.
Today is just another day. Your dad is on his laptop, probably working and you just came back from school. "Im backk" you yelled. No response. Mom was probably napping and Kisaki was too focused, until you approached him. "I got an A.. can you sign it?" Kisaki looked at the test. 93 points out if 100 "Good job. Didn't expect anything less tho. Get me a pen" and you did. He signed it without a word. You expected him to say something about the score honestly. He believed that sometimes its not the grade that's important, but the score. But whatever. And then he said something that sent shivers down your spine. "Why the jacket? Its so hot outside, isnt it?" Hurry up.. come up with an excuse.."Oh.. it was cold in the morning .. and didn't feel like taking it off" he gave you that side eye and it was just screaming 'I dont trust you' but surprisingly he let it go.
You got dressed and then went to the living room and sat on the couch, opposite side of him. He didn't even bother looking up, just kept typing until suddenly he asked "How was your day?" which was honestly common from him.
