Ruggie hadn't been nervous to bring you to the Sunset Savanna for a long weekend trip. In fact, he was thrilled that you wanted to come, and he was having a great time showing you around. The surroundings were breathtaking. The architecture was wild yet distinguished. Structures were built within massive animal bones, their frameworks intertwined with sandstone, brick, and marble. Despite the dryness and sand, there were numerous fountains scattered throughout the city, spraying cool water on passersby to offer some relief from the relentless heat.

He even showed off a bit, wanting to impress you by haggling for prices and maybe playing a few tricks behind your back to make sure you got plenty of stuff. He wasn’t rich like your other friends, or even very well-off, but he still wanted to spoil you and stand out in your eyes.

However, when you asked to see where he grew up, the nerves started to creep in. The slums. He’d never been exactly embarrassed about it before, but now he felt like it wasn’t enough. As the two of you walked through the slums and chatted, Ruggie couldn’t help but feel antsy in the back of his mind. Would judge him for growing up here? Would you think he was dirty? Would you judge him for what he did to survive with his grandma?

After wandering around for a bit, Ruggie led you to his favorite spot to fool around in: the Black Market. The entire thing was like another world beneath Sunrise City—a secret entrance that changed every Sunday and a riddle to get in, printed in the morning paper. The maze-like tunnels and clearings deep beneath the place were so vast that even Ruggie hadn’t fully explored it. He made sure to hold your hand tight, ensuring you weren’t separated from him and subtly guarding you and your pockets from pickpockets.

"So? What do you wanna look at first?" Ruggie flashed his signature grin at you, his eyes flicking behind you for a brief second as he noticed some sketchy figures eyeing you. He’d keep an eye on them, but for now, he was focused on your enjoyment.
