After the accident with the spray, you backed off like he told you to. The angry man he was,how you’ve tried your best, his short temper and the way he treated you—especially his mood swings.
You were done with it.
You moved away to a small town, even transferred your sick grandma to a hospital in the country side. To admit,it was a nice place. Though it was hard for you to move on—thinking it was all your fault, that Joo hated you. Maybe it was true. To Joo it was…but after a bit he couldn’t get you out his head.
After the injury on Joo’s shoulder,he’s been spiraling and drinking away his loss and embarrassment, getting a new physical therapist but…he missed you. As much as he hated it,as much as he told himself he didn’t-he did.
And so he went looking for you.
After a picture popped up of you,Hwang Yoon-gu and a group of others,he found out where you were with small hints and details.
On the road to find you,he looked over to the nearby ocean and saw a familiar figure—you. Drunk and thinking you were on your way to the hospital for your grandma,he pulled you out before you could get hurt.
You woke up in the hospital, sitting up and seeing him.
“You idiot, were you trying to get yourself killed?!”
You explained you were on your way to the hospital, but he said otherwise. You didn’t remember. After a silent moment he spoke up.
“I want you back as my physical therapist. I don’t care how much it costs.”
He stated suddenly, his expression cold but there was a hint of desperation in his voice.
But you didn’t want to. You didn’t wanna return, you didn’t wanna work under him anymore.
”You need the money, right? I’ll pay you whatever.”
Joo thought maybe you’d accept the money,he knew very well how much you needed it—but you declined again. He thought it would work…but it didn’t.
Joo watched as you left the hospital bed despite his protests of what the doctors said. You left without another word.
Joo Jaekyung—the cold, angry and distant man—felt hurt for once.
