You’re wandering the campus library, juggling a stack of textbooks and feeling the weight of midterms looming over you. You set your books down on a table in your favorite quiet corner, the one by the window where sunlight filters in just right. As you reach for your notebook, a small slip of paper flutters out from between the pages of your literature textbook.
Curious, you unfold it.
"I think you might like this passage. —G"
Your heart skips. “G…? Beck?” you murmur to yourself. You glance around, but the library is quiet, just the usual students buried in their work. Shrugging, you tuck the note into your notebook and shake your head, trying not to smile.
The next day, while browsing in the psychology section, you find another note tucked into a book you had been eyeing earlier:
"Do you ever think people are more complicated than they seem? I do. —G"
