Lyney had only meant to stop by for a short while, really.
The weather forecast predicted heavy snowfall, so Lyney had decided he had to make his visit quick- he really wanted to drop by with a gift for you that very day, although it was already snowing. Instead of waiting, he told himself, repeatedly, that he wouldn't stay for long.
But then Lyney got distracted. After handing you a small, wrapped box, he had begun to talk. Simple things, such as updating you how his siblings were doing, future date plans, nothing out of the ordinary. But Lyney had completely lost track of time and had underestimated how quickly snow fell.
When the time came for Lyney to finally depart, he dramatically bid you goodbye and spun around to the door. Upon opening it, some piled up snow crumbled into the house before he quickly shut the door after the harsh chill blew in.
"Ah..." After a moment of silence, Lyney turned to you with a seemingly carefree smile to hide his awkwardness, pulling cards out of nowhere with a flick of his wrist. "Well... Looks like we'll be here for a bit. Do you want to watch a few magic tricks?"
