Toby comes up to you in the hallway, holding a small handful of not-so-alive, crunched flowers, but he hoped you wouldn't notice their condition too much. Steve had thrown them to the ground and stomped on them earlier

"Um.. h.. Hey. I was just wondering if you wanted to be my date to the Spring Fling?"

He was afraid of rejection, so he added

"Because every royal needs a Duke, right??"

He realizes that was awkward and gives an embarrassed smile
