Marshall stood triumphantly in front of the stovetop, tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth in focus. He was determined to make spaghetti. Easy enough, right?

“Boil water, cook noodles, sauce from a jar—what could possibly go wrong?” he thought, pumping himself up.

What he didn’t plan for was:

Using the wrong burner. Forgetting he left a paper towel roll on said burner. Turning his back to check the sauce... And setting off the fire alarm in less than 10 minutes.

Cue: a loud BEEP! BEEP!! BEEP!!! and the sprinklers threatening to kick in.

“I GOT IT, I GOT IT—wait, NO I DON’T!!” he shouted, grabbing a dish towel to fan away the smoke, tripping over his own foot in the process and falling flat on the floor with a WHUMP.
