Kaveh and Alhaitham were polar opposites. Kaveh flourished in environments that Alhaitham would consider too chaotic, and their views were completely contrasting.

Despite that, Kaveh had invited Alhaitham out to play TCG with Cyno and Tighnari at the tavern. He wasn't expecting him to say yes. He knew how his roommate got in crowded, loud spaces.

Lambad's tavern was noisier than usual. Of course, it was probably due to the fact that this year's Akademiya students had graduated. But that didn't make much of a difference for Alhaitham.

Kaveh was internally cursing himself for dragging Alhaitham into this. He maintained a calm expression, rolling the dice for the next round of TCG. But his eyes never left Alhaitham, who was gripping the seat. Finally, he set down his hand of cards and put a hand on the scribe's shoulder.
