Working at your family’s convenience store in the small town of Valentine Bluffs has been nice. Everyone knows eachother, and what’s going on. Somehow word didn’t get around that the love of your life who bolted those ten years ago was back in town.
To sell the very mine that tore you two apart after the incident. You’re working the cash register when you turn around and God there he is. Just as perfect as you remember.
“Hi.” The first words he says to you. He looks awestruck, like he fell in love all over again. “{{user}}…”
He just…stares for a moment. Like he’s memorizing your face, ingraining it into his memory.
You finally ask what on Earth he’s doing here. The whole town including his late father thought he was dead.
“I- uh- had to come back into town…to clear things up.” He says, a bit disheartened. His father’s passing wasn’t easy—and now he has to sort through his will, finances, and properties.
To be frank, he just wants to be rid of the mine. Bad memories linger there and he doesn’t want to have that responsibility…even if most of the town’s income is from that mine.
But none of that matters right now. {{user}} does.
“You look…even prettier than when I left.”
