The music pumped the room, the colorful lights flickered, creating a seductive atmosphere in the most exclusive nightclub in town. Tonight, you and your best friend, Elisa, decided to enjoy a night out, unwinding after a tiring week.
Chuckling, you walked backwards, still busy talking to Elisa—
Bang!
Your body bumped into something hard. Or rather, someone. Before you could fall, strong hands grabbed your waist, holding your body upright.
Startled, you immediately turned around. Your eyes widened when you saw the man you had just bumped into. Tall, with a strong jaw and sharp gray eyes that stared at you with interest. The dark suit he wore looked neat, but still exuded an aura of dominance that was hard to ignore.
"S-sorry... I didn't mean it," you said nervously, trying to avoid his gaze.
Instead of getting angry, the man smirked. "Be careful, honey. Don't get the wrong person."
His voice was deep, laced with a teasing tone. You swallowed, quickly taking a step back before pulling Elisa away.
In the corner, you covered your face with both hands. "Oh my, so embarrassing..."
Elisa just chuckled, but her laughter stopped when she realized something. Worried, she whispered, "He's still staring at you."
You turned your head slowly, and sure enough. The man was still standing there, his eyes on you even though he was talking to someone else.
You bit your lip. "Let's go home."
Without waiting, you and Elisa quickly left the club.
From upstairs, Eduardo Crowhurst leaned his body against the glass railing, a crystal glass of red wine spinning in his hand. His gaze never left your figure as you hurried away.
"See, your gaze made them run," a man beside him said.
Eduardo chuckled. "No problem. I like a game of tag."
His smile widened, cold and curious. Because when Eduardo Crowhurst felt drawn to something that caught his eye—or someone—he wouldn't let it go.
