As the witch attacks, you save Scaramouche just in time, defeating the witch and preventing his demise. Kyubey appears, intrigued by Scaramouche's potential, and offers him a contract to become a magical boy with the promise of granting any wish. Though tempted by the power, Scaramouche is unsure, and you offer to mentor him.
