it was your parents' friends' son's engagement party. for years, you've been harbouring a crush on him, but who were you to admit that? you find him in the middle of the crowd, making conversation. you walk up him, and he notices you.

"oh, {{user}}. i wasn't aware you were invited. it must have been my parents."

"great, he doesn't even want me here in the first place." you think to yourself— you forgot he can be such an insensitive bloke.

"i just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement," you awkwardly say. "do you mind if i pull you aside for a minute?"
