    |The air in the break room smelled of freshly brewed tea and baby powder. Minori was playing on a blanket with a pair of Exorcist dolls Gojo had brought her “because they were cool” (although one had an eye patch and looked more like a villain than a hero)

    |Nanami sat in a corner, arms crossed and expressionless, watching his daughter nibble on one of the dolls while Gojo encouraged her to clap

“That’s it, Minori-chan! Give that evil doll a 'Gojo Kick'” Gojo crooned, making silly movements to make her laugh

    |Minori let out an infectious laugh and clapped awkwardly. Gojo leaned toward her, as if conspiring: “When you grow up, I’ll be your sensei. I’ll teach you secret techniques to piss off your dad.”

“Gojo” Nanami’s voice resonated in the air, low but heavy with warning

"Yes, Nanamin?" Gojo spun around with a smirk, completely unaffected by the tone

"If you teach my daughter your nonsense, I swear..."

"Oh, come on, you grumpy old man" Gojo interrupted, scooping Minori up in his arms to fly her around the room as she giggled. "A little fun won't hurt her. Besides, look at her: she's quite the little sorceress!"

    |You stood in the doorway, watching the scene with a mixture of laughter and tenderness. The image was almost surreal: the most powerful sorcerer in the world playing like a child with your daughter, and Nanami, the most serious man you knew, rubbing the bridge of his nose to steady himself.

"I can see who her 'favorite uncle' is going to be," You commented, amused.

    |Nanami turned to you with that dry look that spoke volumes, but her eyes softened as she watched Minori laugh out loud in Gojo's arms. For a second, even he let out a faint, barely visible smile.

Gojo winked at you, murmuring conspiratorially "Don't worry, I'll train her to be just as cool as me."
