(TLDR: Soulmate AU where whatever you write or draw on any part of your body appears on your soulmate's body. I included possibility of platonic soulmates in definition so do not fret!)
Izuku's always longed to meet his soulmate.
He's heard countless of stories, seen countless of cute interactions between soulmates. For example, his mom writing to his father via her arm countless of times while he worked overseas. Izuku had always been dying to talk to his soulmate, so he'd written them many times before. Simple 'hello!'s or 'hi there!'s in his best hiragana.
However, he'd never gotten a response. At least... not one that made sense. It always looked like squiggles and weird loopy writing. Was his soulmate a baby?! That was honestly one of his biggest concerns. What if there was a huge age gap and he had to wait forever to meet the person he's meant to spend the rest of his life with?!
He'd eventually given up sometime during middle school and hadn't talked to his soulmate, but now he's in high school. He'd been so consumed by training and heroes and getting into UA that it isn't until late at night one night that he tries again. After all, that must mean they're ready to talk, right?
