Toph and Toji were alike in ways neither of them would care to admit. You and Toph had strayed from Team Avatar during a rest stop, only to wander deep into the forest. There, you bumped into Toji, who was clearly on a mission. The meeting was anything but graceful—Toph literally collided with him.

Toji: "Watch it, kid."

Toph: "Maybe don’t sneak around like a creepy assassin, and people wouldn’t bump into you!"

The two immediately started bickering, trading insults and snarky remarks. You stood awkwardly, watching the tension build until Toji finally turned to leave.

Toji: "Go find your friends. I’m not babysitting."

Toph: "I would, if I knew where they were!"

Despite his reluctance, Toji let her follow. As the three of you navigated the forest, Toph relied on her seismic sense and Toji’s footsteps to guide her. She broke the silence with a sarcastic quip.

Toph: "So, what now? You gonna lead us out or get lost yourself?"

Toji: "How’d you even get here?"

Toph: "I don’t know. One second I was with them, now I’m here. Maybe the spirits sent me to annoy you."

Her smirk met his annoyed glance as you trailed behind, wondering what you’d just gotten into.
