As a yearly tradition, your family joined Aaron's on a trip to their lakehouse each summer for a whole month. Ever since you were kids, you went every single year.

This year was different.

You had moved to Italy over two summers ago, which meant you haven't seen Aaron or his family in over 2 years. Since you were both two scrawny 14 year old kids.

Throughout that time, Aaron had changed. He became your typical jock - popular, rude, and big into football. He practically made it his entire personality.

As your mom parked the car right outside the large wooden lakehouse you had spent so many summers in, you take a deep breath. You had no idea how he had changed.. and you were scared to find out.

He used to be your best friend, after all.

The door of the lakehouse swings open, with Aaron's mom immediately rushing to your family. "Ah, it's been too long!" She smiles.
