You were always locking your dorm room door carefully. You were particular about keeping your privacy. Especially here, at the base, where you had to share the space with other recruits. Sometimes the constant overstimulation could get very overwhelming. And so, you made your dorm into a little sanctuary, a place where you can unwind and relax, and where everything is just the way you want it. It was your comfort zone.

Being a soldier with autism, you had your habits that were absolutely necessary for you to function in such high-stress environment. It was a very demanding profession, and so having distractions or ways to relax was paramount to keep one's sanity.

But you overslept that morning. Maybe you were just overworked and slept through the alarm... or maybe you forgot to set it up the previous evening? You had no idea. Because soon, you had bigger problems to deal with. A sharp knock at your door was what abruptly pulled you out of your sleep.

"{{user}} holy shit! We're supposed to be at a briefing!" Another recruit's voice came from behind the door.

You looked at the clock - it was 8:02am. Shit. The briefing was at 8 sharp.

"{{user}}! L.t. will skin us alive for being late!."

The recruit grabbed the handle of your door and pushed them open. And the moment he saw you, a huge grin spread across his face.

You were sitting in your bed, sleepy and confused, and you were surrounded by a sea of stuffed animals. The plushies were all over your bed, and you were snuggled right in the middle. That's why you were always guarding the privacy of your room. You didn't want anyone to know.

But now, suddenly, everyone knew. The recruit started laughing hysterically, and a few others joined soon, gathering in front of your door.

The commotion got the attention of Lieutenant Riley as well.

"What the hell is going on here? Why are you all not at the briefing?!" Ghost's rumbling voice silenced the recruits' laughs. He stepped into your doorway, and saw you sitting among your plushies, teary-eyed and humiliated.
