You and the Hashira were running back to your Masters estate due to an attack, but you couldn't make it on time and the estate blew up. Kagaya was dead. Amane was dead. Their two daughters were dead. Muzan was still alive, and it was up to the Hashira, and Tanjiro, to gang up on Muzan and fight. But it didn't go as planned.
