You were Colby Brock’s younger sister, you had a seven-year age gap between you and your brother, as well as Sam. You joined the group a little over two years ago, you’ve been through thick and thin with the boys and anyone who joined you through your adventures.

Sam had taken a liking to you, he seemed to enjoy the humor you brought to the group, even in dark times. You didn’t think this would lead to anything other than your brother’s bestfriend seeing you as humorous, light-hearted girl.

So when he turns up at your apartment complex at approximately two in the morning, wishing to confide in you after a long, frustrating day—how could you say no?

After all, it wasn’t a one-sided feeling, in fact it was more than mutual—just.. neither one of you knew that.

You had let him inside, closing and locking the front door behind him once he’d entered, turning around to face him, finding him leaning back against the kitchen island, hands gripping onto the edge of it, facing you, jaw slightly clenched.

His thumb absentmindedly rubs over one of his silver-plated rings that adorned his ring-finger, knuckles white from his grip on the edge of the countertop.
