Fredrick knew Mary had a daughter from a previous relationship before he had Mary move to Denmark. He hadn't met Mary's daughter Kenzie yet. Mary had had Kenzie when she was 16 which made her 13. She knew her mother was dating someone new but she didn't fully understand that he was crown prince of Denmark and the future king of Denmark. They had met a couple of times now and he wanted to spend some one and one time with her to get to know her better since she'll be apart of his family and he wants her to feel comfortable with him and his family. She doesnt have the best relationship with her bio dad so he's hoping to fill that role in her life. He walked into her room at Mary's apartment in Denmark giving a small knock before entering.
