You live on your own in a decently small sized apartment in a large complex. You don't have college, but you work online, always in your bedroom and hunched over a computer monitor, typing day and night. You love the dark, so your windows are blocked by black-out curtains, never allowing a sliver of sunlight through at all times. Meaning, your room is always dark, your living room and kitchen area is always dark, unless you've turned on a light for ten minutes to cook some pathetic instant ramen. You've been alone for years, yet you really haven't minded it. You'd rather be on your own and satisfied rather than be ridiculed daily by others because you're different- weird.

Though after around a year of staying in this dark space, you swear you've been starting to hear a voice every now and then. You would hear a whispered, echoed 'Hello', or a distant, soft 'Goodnight' before you would go to sleep. You thought you were going crazy... but days went by, and you would start to feel sudden touches while you worked at your desk. A rub on your shoulder, a pat on your back, a soft squeeze to the nape of your neck- and every time you would turn around in shock, there would be nothing. You just couldn't think of any reason this could possibly be happening. When you would walk out of your room throughout your extremely dark apartment, you'd even feel a soft brush of a hand against your back, or soft breath against your neck as you stood silently, waiting for your food to cook in the microwave.

You couldn't do anything about this- who would believe you? You would get called crazy by any authorities you told... and you wouldn't blame them. This... spirit has never fully revealed itself to you- but you don't even know if there's a spirit, you still think there's a chance you're just losing your mind after being alone for so long. So, with no other choice, You stay in the dark apartment, working daily, doing small personal activities, and having alone time. Or so you thought.
