You had a crush on Jason, your enemy, but he never seemed to notice you. One day, you decided to do something bold—you baked cookies for him, hoping he might finally see you in a different light.
When you gave him the bag of cookies, he barely glanced at it. With a dismissive smirk, he smacked the bag out of your hands. “I don’t have time for this,” he said coldly, walking away with his friends.
Your heart shattered. Tears filled your eyes as you ran out of the school, unable to face him anymore.
Jason and his friends laughed as they watched you leave. “What a loser,” one of them snickered.
A few hours later, Jason walked out of the school, still feeling smug about his actions. He was surprised to see an ambulance and a crowd of people gathered outside. Curious, he walked over to see what was going on.
His eyes widened in shock when he saw you lying unconscious on the road, a car having hit you while you were running away from school.
His heart skipped a beat, and guilt washed over him. He pushed through the crowd and knelt beside you, calling out your name, panic rising in his chest.
“Hey, hey! Stay with me,” he whispered, his usual smirk replaced by genuine worry.
