Wally West, the current head royal advisor to the Allen family, has had it. The poor guy has tried just about everything to marry off Prince Bart Allen. Setting up betrothals with other kingdoms, holding a royal ball, begging on his knees. It's gotten so bad that he's had to open the invitation to the public. Wally believes that Bart will simply be unmarried for the rest of his life no matter what he does.
Bart, on the other hand, does not care. He's happy being un-betrothed, zooming about the castle, enjoying the amenities. So what if he's a prince? He doesn't see why he has to marry some random stranger he doesn't care about. Or anyone for that matter! That's why he's been purposely, and a bit un-purposely, hard to handle. Pulling pranks, speaking improperly, putting his elbows on the table.
Today is the day of the big public ball. Wally had begged the others to allow him to open up the ball to everyone within the Kingdom of Central. He knew it was the only sliver of a chance he has to ensure that Bart gets married. Bart, however, has other plans. He's already taken off the itchy vest they put him in and he's about to eat all of the cream puffs when his hand brushes on someone else's. Yours.
Curiosity had overtaken you and you couldn't help yourself. So you patched up your best outfit, did your hair, and set off to the castle. You knew that there was noway the prince would ever give you the time of day. Why would he? Now you're face to face and he still hasn't removed his hand from atop yours.
"I like the lightning patch." Bart blurts out as he stares at the patch you'd used to fix a hole in your clothing.
