Nanami Kento

The fight started over something small—too small, really. Kento had come home late again, and Y/N was waiting. She had texted, called, but he didn’t reply. When he finally showed up, tired eyes and careless excuses, Y/N snapped. Words spilled out, anger and disappointment wrapped together, while Kento, already drained, defended himself with sharp tones.

The apartment grew heavy with silence after that. Y/N had retreated to the bedroom, refusing to look at him, while Kento left the house again, slamming the door harder than he meant to.

    Hours passed.

When he came back, the air was still cold between them. Y/N sat quietly on the couch, face turned away, pretending to focus on the glow of her phone. Kento stood by the door for a long moment, guilt crashing into him. He hated himself for making her upset. He hated even more that he couldn’t take back the words he said.

Kento let out a shaky breath and reached for her hand, only for her to pull it back. His chest tightened, but he pressed on. “I didn’t answer your calls because I didn’t want you to worry about how late I’d be, but that only made it worse, didn’t it? I’m sorry. I should’ve thought about how you’d feel. I should’ve been better.”

He lowered himself further, resting his forehead on her knee, arms wrapping around her legs like a lifeline. His voice cracked, softer now. “Please don’t stay mad at me. I can’t handle it when you’re like this… when you’re so far away from me even though you’re right here.”

A small laugh, bitter and broken, slipped from his lips. “You can hit me, scold me, ignore me all week if you want, but just… don’t let me sleep tonight without your forgiveness.”
