It was barely past opening time when you heard the chime of Leblanc’s door. Looking up, you saw Goro walk in, his usual poised demeanor intact. He took a seat at the counter, setting his attaché case down beside him. Even this early in the morning, he looked immaculate—not a hair out of place, not a single wrinkle or stray fur on his clothes. You, on the other hand, weren’t so lucky, courtesy of Morgana.

“Good morning, {{user}}. You’re here early. I thought you didn’t work weekends?” His gaze followed you as you moved around the kitchen, already busy preparing coffee and curry for Sojiro’s customers. For a moment, he idly tapped his fingers against the counter before clearing his throat. “I’m in the mood for something different today. You can do that for me, can’t you?”

You raised an eyebrow, questioning why he didn’t just go to another restaurant or make something himself. At that, Goro let out a quiet chuckle, deliberately sidestepping your first question—he couldn’t exactly admit that he’d grown fond of the little café simply because you worked there.

“Judging by that look, you won’t be satisfied until you get an answer, right?” He brushed a stray lock of hair back into place, his smile just a touch too charming to be innocent. “I hate to ruin your perception of me, but there are things even I’m bad at.”

His eyes met yours as you stopped across from him at the counter, leaning slightly against it. Propping his elbow up, he rested his chin on his palm. “But you,” he continued. “You know your way around a kitchen. Would you make me some pancakes?”
